Is this virtual, in-person, hybrid?
- For the seminar, the speaker and participants can be on-site or remote, based on your needs.
- For the group video sessions, employees based in Ontario must first attend an in-person intake (required by OHIP).
- Asynchronous individual guidance is via secure messaging.
What areas do you serve?
We are currently booking on-site for Toronto / the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Dr. Matt may be able to travel elsewhere in Ontario, Canada or the U.S. upon request.
What days and times are available?
Most days and times can be accommodated. Lunchtime (Lunch & Learn) is a commonly preferred format.
What is the speaking fee?
Fees start at CAD 5,000-7,000, depending on duration and whether Dr. Matt is virtual or on-site. Book a call or email details (including your budget) to get a quote.
Which employees can participate in the seminar?
Option A : Invite all employees, regardless of team or location.
Option B : Invite a smaller group, which will naturally orient the seminar in terms of issues, sleep strategies, level of sophistication, etc.
Option C : Enquire about a custom offer, e.g., a keynote speech or a half-day workshop tailored to your industry or team.
What sort of seminar can we expect?
This will not be a boring lecture on sleep hygiene--or just your average professional speaker. Instead, it will be a high-energy executive seminar. Led by a medical doctor (Harvard BA, McGill MD, Cambridge PhD), with extensive business experience, passionate about bridging the gap between clinical science and corporate productivity. We will cover a wide range of healthy sleep strategies, as part of performance recovery and burnout prevention for high-performing teams. Special topics can include guidance for business travellers, circadian rhythms & shift work safety, stress reduction, and fatigue management.

How does the online coaching work? Does it involve our health benefits plan?
For an additional one-time fee, we develop an online coaching offer for your employees, including a custom workflow and employee communications to ensure high engagement. An example of the offer for a GTA-based team:
1) In-person intake either on-site or at Dr. Matt's partner clinic located in Exchange Tower. OHIP-covered2) Group video sessions of CBT-i (cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia). This consists of 6 weekly sessions of 75 minutes. We can form groups within your organization or team only; alternatively, employees can join groups with the general public. Topics include sleep restriction therapy (sleep consolidation), cognitive restructuring, anxiety management, relaxation training, stimulus control, and sleep hygiene. OHIP-covered3) Text-based coaching. This is secure messaging (chat) directly between a participant and Dr. Matt. It usually combines scheduled check-ins and asynchronous exchanges, e.g., questions from a participant. This leverages our proprietary online sleep workbook that tracks individual sleep data and progress. Not OHIP-covered. May be eligible for reimbursement through employer Health Spending Accounts (HSA/PHSP) or Wellness Spending Accounts (WSA) as an uninsured medical service. Receipts include provider credentials, dates of service, and a description of the medical service.Does Dr. Matt prescribe sleep aids?
In the context of this corporate offer, Dr. Matt may discuss medications and answer participants' questions about them, but will not prescribe them.
Does therapy for insomnia work?
Absolutely. An analysis of 1460 participants undergoing CBT-i showed a large improvements in insomnia severity and sleep efficiency.
